March 3, 2015 - Today finds students safe at home and completing eLearning assignments. I thought it might be fun to showcase some of their projects.
For this activity, students were to watch a Brain Pop video about fractions. Then they read 3 pages in their Math Reference book about fractions. Next, they used their Popplet app to take pictures of 5 objects around their home. Within the app, they were to use the tools to divide the picture into any fractional amount as desired. Then they shaded a part of the fraction and wrote the fraction in the popple. To earn bonus points, they could put two fractions for the same amount in each popple...i.e. using equivalent fractions.
