Our Thanksgiving Play - What a hit!

November 25, 2014 - The feasting didn't quite last 3 days as it did for the original Thanksgiving.  But, we still had a nice time eating and visiting.

Munch! Munch!

Ms. Gandy enjoyed seeing so many family members having a nice time.

Some fall decorations...

Skyelar says, "I'm so glad you came!"

Our Thanksgiving Play - What a hit!

November 25, 2014 ...more of the play...
"Give thanks for the Pilgrims, for their courage and strength."

"HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!"

Time for our "feast" of pumpkin bread, popcorn, and orange drink.
What fun!

Our Thanksgiving Play - What a hit!

November 25, 2014 --the play continues...

More jokes to spark a laugh....

Next, we have some readings from the book, If You Sailed on the Mayflower in 1620, by Ann McGovern.

Now the play begins!  "The winds how they blew!"

"The winter was hard.  The winter was cold!"

"There's food on our tables!"

Our Thanksgiving Play- What a hit!

November 25, 2014 Welcome!
Aidyn and Dylan pass out programs to our guests!

Hi, thanks for the program.

Parents anxiously await the start of the program.

Looks like Pilgrims have entered the room.

First we have some jokes for you.
How is a couch like a turkey?
I don't know. How?
They are both full of stuffing!

Stay alert!

Can anyone say, "camouflage?"  'Tis that time of year, to keep sharp eyes out for our 4-footed friends that move in the twilight of the day.  And, yes, twilight comes twice as a book reminds us.  Take care.

First Trimester Honor Roll

Students worked hard the first trimester to earn all B's, A's and B's, and all A's.  This placed them on the Honor Roll.  Congrats!
These pictures were taken during school spirit week.  The first was on crazy hair day, and the second was on pajama day.

First Trimester Homework Awards

Students need to complete their homework at least 90% of the time to receive our classroom homework award.  These students look very happy about earning the award.  The picture was taken during school spirit week.  It was crazy hair day.

Numbers to 1000!

Brooke has made it!  She wrote her numbers to 1000!  She received her certificate and her 100 Grand candy bar.  Way to go, Brooke!

A Want Ad for a Friend

Writing - Students created a list of what they wanted in a friend.  Then they typed them into sentences and posted their "Advertisement" on PicWall.  Below is Kora's final project.  Sounds like it would be fun to be Kora's friend!
