Compare and Contrast

9-26-14 - Friday - In reading this week, students have been using their critical thinking skills to compare and contrast 2 versions of Cinderella.  They read one indigenous to the Native Americans and compared it to the traditional version of Cinderella. They did the comparing today with a friend.  They were real scholars as they took notes to complete a form with the same topic next week.
You may want to discuss this with your child this weekend.  It is always good to compare and contrast items and stories as you interact with your child.  Have a go!  It could be fun!  (Compare and contrast your child's closet to yours...compare and contrast your regular silverware to the long-handled barbecue utensils used for grilling...etc.)
